Current activity

Maria Bernarda Salazar received her undergraduate degree in Bioengineer graduate from the Universidad de Antioquia (2011). Her undergraduate work was based on the implementation of a virtual tool for the study and research of the cardiovascular system using Java, the results of such work awarded to meritorious mention thesis.

She works from 2011 as a research associate at PECET in projects aimed at the search for drugs to treat Leishmaniasis. She serves as executive secretary of the VIII Panamerican Health Care Exchanges Conference (PAHCE-2013) y of the V Congreso Colombiano de Bioingeniería e Ingeniería Biomédica (CCBIO-2013). In 2012 Salazar joined as a teacher the Bioengineering Program at Universidad de Antioquia.

Since 2013, she is working toward the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering.
